If you search the Real Plans recipe box* for bacon wrapped recipes, you’ll find that most belong to Juli at PaleOMG or Cassy Joy from Fed and Fit. Surprised?
We’re not. These two have a knack for delicious food and know how to create special things.
A few words when wrapping morsels of food with bacon: If you want perfectly rendered fat and a crunchy exterior, it helps to use thin slices of bacon. A tight wrap will usually serve you well. And if you can, wrap the bacon in one layer and avoid any overlap.
On to some smoky, porky recipes.

Bacon wrapped pineapple
Bacon is to pineapple what peanut butter is to jelly. Doesn’t everyone agree? They have each other. And that’s all they need. Serve up this two-ingredient bite using pineapple you meticulously trimmed – precut pieces from the cold case at Whole Foods – or pineapple from a can. #youdoyou.
Goat cheese stuffed figs
On the hunt for the perfect holiday appetizer? You really can’t go wrong with goats cheese stuffed figs.
Unless you burn your figs while cooking the bacon. In which case, you want to either pre-cook the bacon (lay flat and bake it like this, then wrap while it’s still warm) or make sure you work with thin slices of bacon.
